Experience at Work

Sheila is a highly regarded practitioner in appellate law, civil litigation and government law. She represents individuals, businesses and nonprofits in state and federal appellate matters, complex civil litigation and governmental program and agency matters. Prior to joining the firm, Sheila focused her practice exclusively in the public sector. She accumulated extensive knowledge of state and federal law over the course of nearly 30 years. She served as Director of the Staff Attorneys Office in the Eighth Circuit during half of that tenure. Skilled at advising businesses on employment law and personnel issues, Sheila also counsels and represents companies and non-profits on licensing and regulatory requirements. She has served as both director of legal research and writing at Saint Louis University School of Law and as the Democratic director of the Board of Elections in the City of St. Louis.

In the Community

Sheila is the current board chair of Planned Parenthood of the St. Louis Region, and past president and currently serving on the Council of Life Members of the Jewish Federation of St. Louis, and also serves on the board of the St. Louis Club.
