Capes Sokol Appoints Danielle M. Durban as Chair of Intellectual Property Group
Capes Sokol is proud to announce Danielle M. Durban as Chair of the Firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group. This appointment reflects Dani’s expertise in intellectual property law and her ability to craft innovative legal strategies that drive client success.
Dani brings a unique blend of legal acumen and creative experience to her new role. With a background as a graphic and web artist, she has a deep understanding of the intersection between business goals and intellectual property protection. Her practice spans a wide array of industries—entertainment, technology, and the arts—where she has helped clients safeguard intellectual property, negotiate licenses, and structure complex business deals.
Over her career, Dani has worked with a diverse clientele, including television and movie production companies, software developers, restaurant owners and operators, artists, authors, and entrepreneurs. She is well-versed in copyright and trademark protection, IP licensing, rights acquisitions, and contract negotiations. Dani is highly regarded for her skill in simplifying complex legal matters into practical, results-driven strategies, making her a trusted advisor to her clients.
