Capes Sokol Receives CREW’s Economic Impact Award for Contribution to The Armory St. Louis Project
On Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at its Annual 2023 Awards Event, CREW-St. Louis presented Capes Sokol with the Economic Impact Award in recognition of the firm’s contribution to The Armory St. Louis development. The award acknowledges outstanding industry leaders who have made significant contributions to the commercial real estate industry.
CREW-St. Louis is the local chapter of the Commercial Real Estate Women Network, an international organization working to transform the commercial real estate industry by advancing women globally.
The Armory St. Louis is a historic structure built in 1938 and redeveloped into a modern entertainment destination that opened in December 2022. Capes Sokol provided legal counsel and support throughout the development process to the property’s owner and redeveloper, St. Louis firm Green Street Real Estate Ventures.
“Through our legal work on this project, we collaborated with Green Street as they transformed the Armory into one of the most innovative new venues in St. Louis,” said Sarah J. Luem, Capes Sokol shareholder and member of CREW, who accepted the award on Capes Sokol’s behalf. “It was truly a team effort, and we’re proud of our firm’s contributions. We thank CREW for recognizing our efforts and look forward to continuing to help with some of the most exciting projects in St. Louis.”

Remis oversaw and coordinated Capes Sokol’s team, all of whom were instrumental in bringing this significant endeavor to a successful close.
