Capes Sokol is pleased to announce that St. Louis Small Business Monthly has named Jeffrey A. Cohen, Managing Shareholder, to its Hall of Fame for 2023.

This prestigious list recognizes the lifetime achievements of seven exceptional executives who have made significant contributions to the business landscape of St. Louis.

As Managing Shareholder and President of Capes Sokol, Cohen has played a pivotal role in the firm’s success. Cohen, along with a group of seven talented attorneys, co-founded Capes Sokol in 2001. Today, the firm consists of 42 highly skilled attorneys and 26 dedicated support staff members. The firm delivers unparalleled legal services designed to meet the needs of a diverse clientele of individuals and businesses.

Cohen’s Hall of Fame profile highlights his immense pride in the fact that female practice group leaders contribute to at least 75% of the firm’s revenue—a testament to our culture This remarkable achievement sets Capes Sokol apart and underscores its unwavering commitment to fostering a diverse and empowering work environment.

Cohen also notes the firm’s profound dedication to mentoring its newer attorneys:

“The culture is focused on collaboration,” said Cohen. “Our young associates have different experiences here than attorneys have at other firms. They are client-facing immediately. They are in court immediately. This gives young lawyers an opportunity to learn. It has allowed our young attorneys to get that experience at a younger age.”

As a seasoned attorney, Cohen focuses on representing closely held businesses and their owners throughout their entire lifecycle, including critical moments such as mergers and acquisitions, succession planning, financing, and corporate governance. In addition to his professional achievements, Cohen actively participates as a board member and/or officer in several civic and charitable organizations.
