Capes Sokol Welcomes 2011 Summer Associates
Katie A. Hardt and Philip R. Dore joined Capes, Sokol, Goodman & Sarachan, P.C. as summer associates in June 2011.
Katie A. Hardt
Katie is currently a student at the University of Missouri School of Law in Columbia, Missouri where she expects to earn her J.D. in December 2011. She is on the Dean’s List, is a Law School Student Ambassador, active in the Women’s Law Association, a former member of the Graduate Professional Council, a 2009 Semifinalist and member of the 2010 Board of Advocates Negotiation Competitions, and won a CALI Award for Banking Law. She also attends the University of Missouri College of Business where she expects to earn her M.B.A. in December 2011. She earned her B.S.B.A., summa cum laude, also at the University of Missouri College of Business in December 2007, and studied abroad at the University of Western Cape in Cape Town, South Africa.
Philip R. Dore
Philip is currently a student at the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge where he expects to earn his J.D./D.C.L. in 2012. He is Senior Editor of the Louisiana Law Review, and his Comment, Greenlighting American Citizens: Proceed With Caution, 72 LA. L. REV., will be published later this year. Philip is an Ernest N. Morial Scholar, has been on the Chancellor’s List (all semesters), earned two CALI Awards for highest grade in Legal Writing, is a member of the Chancellor’s Student Advisory Board, and is also an active member of the International Law Society. He earned his B.A. in Political Science with honors from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
Capes Sokol Summer Associate Program
Capes Sokol’s Summer Associate Program provides second-year law students with challenging assignments which require them to work together with Shareholders and Associates in the real work of the firm. Summer Associates learn to address the practical problems our clients face under the guidance of our experienced attorneys.
