Michael A. Kahn, chair of the firm’s Intellectual Property practice group, has been named one of the “Best Patent Attorneys” by St. Louis Small Business Monthly.  The publication accepts nominations and surveys its readers for the best patent attorneys in St. Louis. Mr. Kahn was nominated for being one of the best advisors for business owners in St. Louis.

Michael, a Capes Sokol Shareholder, is a widely recognized trial lawyer in the area of general commercial litigation and in a wide range of intellectual property matters, including patent litigation. He concentrates his practice in copyright, trademark, First Amendment and media law, including libel and privacy rights.

A veteran of numerous jury trials across the nation, Mike has successfully represented various firms (including professional sports teams, radio and TV stations, and newspapers) and individuals (including authors, artists and professional athletes) in connection with patent, copyright, trademark, First Amendment and general commercial litigation. He has also served as a court-appointed mediator in a variety of intellectual property lawsuits, including copyright, trademark, patent and libel cases.

In addition to being named one of the “Best Patent Attorneys” in St. Louis, Michael was recently selected as the 2018 “Lawyer of the Year” for Copyright Law by The Best Lawyers in America ©. An honor only given to a single lawyer in each practice area and designated metropolitan area.
