Adams Accepted into the Heart of America Fellows Institute
The law firm of Capes Sokol is pleased to announce that Lisa M. Adams, Capes Sokol Shareholder, has been accepted into the inaugural class of the Heart of America Fellows Institute of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC).
Lisa M. Adams
Lisa M. Adams is an experienced attorney that implements sophisticated estate and gift tax planning techniques. A trusted advisor to her clients, she concentrates her practice in estate and wealth planning, trust administration, closely-held business succession, and taxation.
Well known for the time and effort she invests in her clients, Lisa’s practice ranges from traditional estate planning to constructing, designing, and implementing complex intergenerational, international structures designed to achieve income and transfer tax savings.
Lisa earned her Master of Laws in Taxation from Boston University in 2000, her Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri School of Law in 1999 and her Bachelor’s Degree in English from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1996. She is admitted to the Kansas, Massachusetts and Missouri Bars.

The Heart of America Fellows Institute was created by ACTEC Fellows to develop the profession’s future leaders in trust and estate law through a series of in-depth educational presentations led by outstanding subject matter experts in each field from across the U.S. The institute includes six sessions for lawyers who were nominated by an ACTEC Fellow and selected through a competitive application process.
