Capes Sokol is pleased to announce that William B. Remis has been named chair of the firm’s Real Estate practice group. Sarah J. Luem will continue to serve as chair of the firm’s Business & Corporate Law practice group. Together, they will continue working closely to provide clients with the strategic, cross-disciplinary legal counsel that defines Capes Sokol’s approach.

Since joining Capes Sokol in 2022, Remis has become a trusted advisor to developers, investors, lenders, businesses, and property owners across a wide range of commercial real estate matters. His experience spans acquisitions and dispositions, leasing, land use and zoning, construction and development, financing, tax incentives, and other complex real estate transactions. As practice group chair, he will continue serving clients while helping guide the strategic direction and continued growth of the firm’s Real Estate practice group.
