Boxerman Named a 2022 Tax Best Lawyers “Lawyer of the Year” in St. Louis
Capes Sokol is pleased to announce that Best Lawyers selected Sanford J. Boxerman, shareholder, as the Best Lawyers® 2022 Litigation and Controversy–Tax “Lawyer of the Year” in St. Louis. Only a single lawyer in each practice area in the St. Louis metropolitan area receives the “Lawyer of the Year” designation.
In the past ten years, Best Lawyers has awarded this honor seven times to various members of the Capes Sokol Tax Controversy and Litigation Group. David V. Capes, senior counsel, has been named “Lawyer of the Year” five times and Sara G. Neill, shareholder, has been named twice.
In addition, eighteen other Capes Sokol attorneys, representing every practice area of the firm, were chosen for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America® 2022 edition.
Sanford J. Boxerman
Sandy represents individuals and entities in white collar criminal prosecutions, internal investigations and criminal and civil tax matters. He also counsels clients in the digital currency and blockchain space, particularly regarding regulatory and tax matters. Since 2016, Sandy has been a Fellow of the American College of Tax Counsel, a prestigious professional association reserved for an elite group of tax attorneys.
Sandy co-teaches the tax fraud prosecutions course in the graduate tax program as an adjunct faculty member at the Washington University School of Law. He is a frequent presenter and speaker at educational seminars for lawyers and others, discussing a wide variety of legal areas, most often in the area of tax. Additionally, Sandy has been published in the St. Louis Bar Journal, the St. Louis Lawyer, and other publications about a variety of topics.
