Kahn to Present on Copyright at VLAA Business Edge Workshop
On April 22, 2019, Michael A. Kahn will present a session titled, “Copyright Myth Busters,” at a Business Edge Workshop sponsored by the Volunteer Attorneys and Accountants for the Arts. This presentation is provided in collaboration with the Copyright Alliance and celebrating World IP Week.

Program Description:
Attorney Michael Kahn, Capes Sokol, will debunk widespread misperceptions about copyright, such as: registration is required to get copyright protection; if it’s on the internet, its free; background music on YouTube videos is a fair use and more.
Business Edge Workshops
This series is designed to increase the business savvy of St. Louis region’s artists. There are ten seminars offered annually for individual artists and arts organizations. The core seminars cover career planning, marketing, taxes, copyright and contracts/negotiation skills. Additional seminar topics may be discipline specific or how-to.
