Neill Selected to 2022 Super Lawyers Top St. Louis Super Lawyers
Capes Sokol congratulates Sara G. Neill, shareholder and Chair of Capes Sokol’s Tax Controversy and Litigation practice group, on her inclusion in the Missouri & Kansas Super Lawyers “Top 50: 2022 St. Louis Super Lawyers” list, recognizing the top attorneys in the area who have received the highest number of peer recognition and professional achievement points.
In addition, nine other Capes Sokol attorneys, representing every practice area of the firm, were chosen for inclusion in the 2022 Missouri & Kansas Super Lawyers and Rising Stars Lists.
Sara G. Neill
Sara represents clients who are under criminal tax investigation or charged with tax and other financial crimes. Sara also represents clients in federal tax audits, administrative appeals and litigation before the U.S. Tax Court and federal district courts. She has defended many tax practitioners, primarily lawyers and accountants, in IRS investigations and matters involving the IRS Office of Professional Responsibility and State licensing boards. Sara is a fellow of the American College of Tax Counsel, an adjunct professor at Washington University Law School where she teaches a course on TaxFraud Investigations and Prosecutions, and a Vice Chair of the ABA Tax Section’s Civil and Criminal Tax Penalties Committee. Sara previously served as President of the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis.
