Capes Sokol Adds Four Attorneys to its Litigation Team
Capes Sokol announced today the addition of four litigators to the St. Louis-based firm. R. Thomas Avery, Kelley F. Farrell, David H. Luce and Traci Dale Pupillo will join the firm as shareholders.
“Thom, Kelley, Dave and Traci are all exceptional and highly skilled trial lawyers,” said Jeffrey A. Cohen, Capes Sokol’s Managing Shareholder. “The addition of these attorneys is part of our long-standing commitment to excellent client service, providing value, and delivering results.”
Thom Avery is an experienced litigator, focusing on commercial, construction and debtors’ rights matters. Kelley Farrell handles commercial, employment, and trust and estate litigation. She is also an Adjunct Professor for Trial Practice for the Washington University School of Law. David Luce focuses his practice on commercial, employment and real estate litigation. In 2013, he was appointed by the Supreme Court of Missouri en banc to serve as a member of the Regional Disciplinary Committee for Division 1 of Region X. Traci Dale Pupillo represents clients in a wide variety of litigation matters including real estate, land use and employment matters. Together they bring over eight decades of experience to Capes Sokol and its clients.
“We are excited by the opportunities created by our move to Capes Sokol and are looking forward to serving clients in a collaborative environment,” said Thom Avery. “Capes Sokol has an outstanding team of lawyers. Given our backgrounds and areas of focus, we expect to blend seamlessly.”
Capes Sokol’s civil litigation team provides experienced representation – for plaintiffs and defendants – in complex, high stakes matters across the country. They serve as lead trial and appellate counsel in state and federal civil cases involving contract disputes, real estate disputes, shareholder/member and internal business disputes, toxic product liability and environmental claims, employment related matters and business torts including civil fraud, tortious interference and breach of fiduciary duty cases.
Last month, Capes Sokol moved to new, multi-floor office space in the Regions Centre in Clayton. The offices provide a vibrant, collaborative, team-based workspace that enables the attorneys to best serve their clients.
